Can someone help me for a very touching ending in this story?

once there was a boy who had no parents , but has a friend who is a talking bird. then by an incident they'd entered a fairies world, but unfortunately, birds arent allowed there. but the boy wants to be with his friend, and at the same time, to be on that place forever. his bird friend learned this and so it decided to look for the witch who can help her to be a human so that she will be allowed to stay with her friend.the boy search for his bird friend for almost one year . facing fancyfful adventures and journeys... So what could be great ending for this? i want the ending to have a GREAT CHOICES t=for the main character to choose. just like shrek 2, many find the ending so touching wnhen fiona chose to be ogre again and live with his ogre husband. or like the story THE GOLDEN TOUCH OF KING MITRAS, as to where in the ending he made he accidentally turned his daughter into a stone, and so he chose to let go of the golden touch and be normal again. PLS, I JUST WANT SOMETHING NEW...
