I met with a local pro photographer today to buy one of her Nikon P&S's. She showed me her work which was incredible. She's even been featured in the Italia Vogue, but she has no idea about aperture, ISO, rule of thirds, etc. She just primarily uses the closeup/macro mode with autofocus. I'm just wondering if other pro photographers do this too? I was shocked to learn this.

Ok, so I'm in my late teens and live with my parents who are in their 60s. I'm having problems with my sister who is in her late 20s. She recently moved back to our native city and her roommate (who is allowing her to live for free) says no company, no parties, no nothing. So she solves all her problems by coming to our house everyday from 10 in the morning to 6 o'clock in the evening (no she does not have a job). She pretty much acts like she lives here, using the computer (all day), eating our food (therefore causing more dirt), etc. And at first I really didn't mind until it became a daily habit. But then I said ok she's looking for a job and when she gets one it'll be fine so no need to cause any trouble...But it's been three months still no job AND instead of just her its her and her friends!! These grown women (literally knocking on 30) and they have no where else to go? And God forbid we have our laundry out in our house when she's coming over. She threw a hissy fit. It's like she has no sense of boundaries. And I understand she's lived away for a year and a half but we visited her every 4 months (and she didn't exactly live in the country). Also it's not like she's coming over to be with us cause she missed us...it's because she's bored at home cause they don't have cable or internet and also cause she can't invite her friends over. And she's made that blatantly clear. HOW RUDE! I'm getting to my breaking point. But she doesn't respect anything I say cause I'm younger than she is. My mom is in the early stages of alzeihmers and besides that I think she has selective memory when it comes to my sister anyway. My parents are so wrapped up in trying to be supportive it's like they forgot they still have a daughter at home. I know this is super duper long but one more problem. My sister has been having some problems with her friends so she's been hanging out with mine since shes been here. All my friends are older than me kinda closer to her age and idk I guess I'm kinda insecure about her like stealing my friends cause who'll need me around once they have the older version of me (which I hope I'm not but some people seem to think so). So I got some friends who were my own age. Actually a sibling of a friend of mine's boyfriend haha. And we're super cool the thing is she's graduating next month and she lives a couple of hours away. She invited me to come stay with her and come to her graduation and the party and my sister completely invites herself! I was really mad. I mean it's one thing if you start hanging out with my friends your age that you did not know until three months ago even when I'm not around...but an 18 yr old? goodness. When uploading video from a minidv does the video fil split itself? Or does it upload as one huge video file?

I have recently bought a Sony HVR-A1U and have yet to test or tweak with it because I am waiting on my video machine to be built and shipped. But I was curious as this is my first camera that uses this format I wanted to know how do the uploading work? I am moving from a Sony DCR-200 where it was all digital and the files uploaded right to mp4 files split based on time of recording. But I noticed the minidv works like a VCR tape, does that mean it uploads in one large chunk if you were to record say a 30 minute clip?

Where can I find a doctor who is willing (and qualified) to perform an exploratory surgery for nerve damage?

My husband had surgery Aug '08 for testicular torsion, but ended up with nerve pain/damage. He has intermittentshooting pain from the left testicle into the abdomen and it is often accompanied by vomiting and nausea. He is on seriously sttrong opiate pain meds and Lyrica for nerve pain. He has had nerve block injections without any relief, but the pain management doctor wants him to have an exploratory surgery to locate the damage. He believes a nerve is tied off in the sutures. The problem is we cannot find a surgeon to do the surgery, and our insurance is a pain to get referrals apporved. Basically it is up to us to find a doctor that is willing to perform this surgery and correct the mistake of the pervious doctor(who is no longer in the state btw). Any advise on how to find a doctor would be appreciated. All doctors we have contacted say that they do not handle cases like his and don't deal with nerve entrapment. We have called urologists, general surgeons, and neurologists without any luck. Thanks!

Storage Space?

My husbands mother and father died 12 years ago a month apart. Those months were very hard for him. We have a big huge basement and he has kept alot of his parents stuff, bed, drawers, blankets, pictures, puzzles... etc. We have had some financial problems lately and are downsizing into a smaller home. In the next home we won't have a big basement or attic, and the stuff isn't very pretty it's all early 20th century stuff, so I don't want to decor our house with it. We can't afford a storage container, and there is alot of stuff I don't know why he keeps, like his mothers toilet scrub. I don't want to hurt him and say it's junk, he doesn't want to throw it away, but he doesn't want to decor our house with it either. So what do I do? Why do I have laughing problems?

Most of the time when looking at other people face to face just me and them, I either smile or laugh for no reason and can't stop. I can't stop because it feels involuntary even though it's not. When I try to stop, it's just so hard. And people stare at me, or if I know them they're like what is so funny or why are you laughing? And I tell them nothing but keep smiling or laughing and it's embarring. Actually when I laugh, I don't laugh out loud. I smile hard and laugh silently making no noise or sound. But my body moves up and down, of course. Also, whenever there is a reason to laugh, I keep laughing at it because it is just so funny and I also still can't stop. But other normal people who are around me laugh once and then stop, get over it, and move on. But not me. I can't get the funny thing out of my head and I keep laughing at it. Then eventually I stop but it comes back later and lasts like that for days until it finally goes away and I don't think it's funny anymore. This is also embarring. Also, when I get in trouble, I laugh. I know there's nothing funny about it at all because it is serious and I should not have done what I did or I learned my lesson, but I still laugh and can't help it. Then I get into even more trouble and I stop laughing. But then I laugh again. That's not embarring, but it's painful and torturing. What is wrong with me? I have four questions. The first three should all have the same answer to all three questions, not three different answers. One: Why do I smile or laugh for no reason and have a hard time to stop and keep a straight face when looking at someone? Two: Why can I not stop laughing when I hear something funny? yesterday i noticed a what appeared to be a pimple or small blister (about the size of the tip of a pencil). it was red and itchy and painful when something rubbed against it. i put prescription strength acne medication on it hoping it was just acne. well when i woke up this morning it is still red and now it is crusty, but it is not itchy anymore. is it possible the acne medication made it crust? or could this be something more serious like genital ? i've never had this happen to me before. i am a 20 years old and ually active in a monogamous relationship with my boyfriend for the past 3 years. it would have been 3 years and 1 month since my last exposure to any std's. i have an appointment with my gynocologist on may 4th (the soonest i could get in) but i'd like some peace of mind until then. thanks.

Will a short haircut affect me getting a job?

I am about to graduate from college, and I am actively interviewing outside sales positions. As it is it will probably do for you. The hard drive should be more than adequate for your needs, the dual processor definitely will. The only concern is the memory. One gig may work for you or it may be too slow. The majority of computers I have seen one gig was not enough (although there is some tweaking you can do to help speed those up) but there were some that it was satisfactory. There are only 2 memory slots and it is using 512mb of memory in each. For you to upgrade this in the future you would have to throw away the current memory, either one or both. Working on too many computers I would say not take the chance and get the 2mb of memory before I bought the computer. Of course this would depend on what circuit city would charge but you have to factor in if you bought it the cost you would be throwing away by not being able to use the 512mb. It is an easy upgrade. How to get out of an unjust library fine?

At a public library, I ordered a lot of books online to check out. After I had finally read all of them, I dropped them off in a Book Drop. The book drop is the big canister outside the library that you place books in when you can't go inside. A couple weeks after wards I began receiving bills for books that I KNOW I had already turned in. When I called the library to see what had happened, they said that they had never received my books and that they can't look for them because they were from different libraries over the state. After discovering this, I became livid. I felt so betrayed that the library I liked so much could be so irresponsible as to forget to check my books in before they sent them back. Of course the library won't hardly ever confess to this horrid act, I know that it is the most likely explanation as to what happened. I don't steal and I've been disgusted with it. The only proof I have is my mother. I'm seventeen years old and she drove me to the book drop to drop them in. My family doesn't have a lot of money so paying the fine will be quite difficult. I highly doubt my mother would hire a lawyer for legal advice. Is there anything I can do about this other than paying that unjust fine? I really would do everything I could to pay the fine if I had truly lost or stole the books. However, I refuse to try hard to pay anything for something that I shouldn't have to pay. My mom says I should try to at least pay something to the fine because it could turn into me getting arrested and gaining a record. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I think they mean equal to in the sense of the missions they provide. The F-22 is the best pure fighter aircraft in the world today, and the F-35 will be the best strike fighter in the world. As of now there is a gap in the technologies. The F-22 is far more advanced and stealthy than the F-16, F-18, A-10, A-6. So bringing the F-35 into play to replace those aircraft will mean having 2 aircraft equal in capabilities of the roles they provide. Is my baby too isolated?

I'm a stay at home mom to a lovely 14 month old little girl. We do the exact same thing every day at the exact same time, she is on a routine that never gets interrupted. My mom always invites us to her house but I don't like to mess up her routine so I usually say no. My daughter doesn't see anyone but me, except the occasional trip to the grocery store which rarely happens because I don't drive and my husband thinks it's a hle to take us. How to get my child's father out of our lives?

I am a single mom and have been since I was about 7 months pregnant when my child's father walked out. He did not witness his son being born although I tried to make sure he was involved. My child is now 7 months old and his father keeps contacting me. Their are a lot of hurt feelings on my side of things, however I have put that a side for the sake of my little boy. His father has not paid any child support of any kind before or after his birth, and has only seen his child 2 times in 7 months. One time that he did he took him out at all hours of the night, while drinking and driving him in a truck with an airbag. I do not feel comfortable with him being with his son. I have tried to work out a schedule as I believe children need structure. He has since moved from Missouri to Minnesota, but has still contacted me once every week or so when he has been drinking heavily to tell me that he " misses his boy and that he loves him more than anything". This is very hard to believe considering he has done nothing to support my child; financially or emotionally. My child does not even know who he is, however he expects me to leave him with his father for a couple days "when he comes in town". I cannot possibly allow this to happen. My child is not a doll to be ped around, and does not sleep well when he has been with his father in the past. This whole situation has been tearing me apart as I would love for my son to have a father to look up to, but he has proven himself unfit. I do not want money or support from him, I have an entire family that loves my son and myself and has supported us emotionally from day one. I am able to support my son on my own and would love for my child's father to go away. I know that is horrible but I can't make him grow up and be responsible for himself let alone my child, and I have to protect my son. Any suggestions would be helpful. Is this a good pokemon team?

This is a really good team, except for a few little problems. Hyper beam and Blast burn are two really bad moves. It leaves a free turn open for your opponent, which can make all the difference in a battle. Another thing that you really don't have to worry about unless you get really serious with battling - double team is technically an "illegal move" but you should be fine. You should reconsider a few moves on Empoleon because his Sp. Attack is much higher than his Attack. Your Lucario looks great though. Overall this team deserves an 7.5/10. Once you fix hyper beam and Blast burn it will be really good. ^-^

I used to have disordered eating, I would starve, binge then purge by running. I have been free from my problem for three months and my summer was absolutely amazing. It is startign to come back now only not as drastic becasue I gained 10 pounds over the summer. I ma a competitive gymnast therefore I have to be skinny, I wear a leotard every single day basically. Your guppies have dropsy or TB. Both illnesses can make lumps that eventually turn into open sores. I know you say it's not dropsy, but look over the top of your fish tank and make sure their scales are not poking out like a porcupine. If not I suggest that you get both Melafix and Pimafix and treat them as directed for 7 days. You can use both at the same time, which is good. These will treat almost any illness that they might have. I lost 2 guppies the same way (lumps), and it turned into dropsy before I could treat them and they died. I still have 2 more and they were immediately treated with both and all my my other fish too and all are doing great.

Can I use regular unleaded (87 octane) gas for BMW 525 i (2003)?

Yeah you can use it with no problem. I have a 2002 325i and I have put 87 octane in it since I bought the car three years ago and have had no problems. The engines are designed to compensate for the lower octane. I talked to my mechanic, who only works on BMWs about it a few years ago to make sure I wouldn't wreck the engine and he said that it will have no ill effects on the car other than a slight drop in performance that you probably won't notice unless you are an extreme driver. He said he even uses 87 octane in his BMW since it doesn't make a huge difference. Go ahead and use it and save that money for the wonderful repairs that come along with owning a BMW.

Hello Everyone, I know this site is not a place for advice but I am beyond frustrated. It all started with mild rectal bleeding every now and then (off and on 10 yrs), indigestion symptoms, fatigue, tachycardia, (fast heart rate) ping gas and now pain on the left side of my stomach and side (rib cage area). I went to the dr who said all labs are normal. I had a digital rectal exam, and an anascopy all which were negative. I also had a colonoscopy 10 yrs ago when the bleeding first began that too was negative. I am so petrified that I may have colon cancer. I have heard so many stories about mis diagnosis and it's driving me crazy. I am 40yrs old and never had any health problems. I did have a full cardiac workup due to the tachycardia and no underlying cause was found they just gave me propranolol to take once a day to slow my heart rate. I am going back to the dr. next week and I am going to insist he refer me to a gastro dr. If anyone has any advice or knowledge please don't hesitate to reply. Thank You.

If a gas tax holiday would only raise consumption, why not give it (+ $) only to businesses for operational $?

Is there a valid reason why you would want to stifle the effectiveness of a gas tax holiday? Is your reason political? Your candidate didn't come up with this idea or doesn't support it? If it were to raise consumption, then that would be a direct result of Americans consuming more, which would mean they were out spending more money, which would in turn help stimulate the economy.

Not really, the advice I have would have been to bleach some parts of your hair and not bleach others... so the color will be darker in some spots and lighter on others. You could try leaving it on the amount of time specified for half of it... wash it out and dry your hair, then use the remaining hair dye and leave it on for less time so its lighter. It really depends what color ur hair is naturally as well...

The medicines available (most of them called SSRIs) are very "clean" (few side effects) and very targetted. One med may not help you much at all, or may make you feel listless or apathetic, whereas another one may make you feel perfectly "normal" again and do nothing else than that. It may be necessary to try a couple before finding the right one, but DON'T GIVE UP. There IS effective help for you. Go find it!!

Why is my black moor just sitting there hiding?

i added a black moor along with the 2 i already had.and now it just hides and just sits there.it is the middle fish in size now.its not upside down or nose diving .when it does swim it moves perfectly fine.it is eating and swims fine when its feeding time.the other 2 fish are perfectly fine and my tank is plenty big enough and i do my water changes on cue.the water quality is also good just checked it before i asked this.there are no spots on it and doesnt look sick as it is eating and swimming fine when i feed them after it eats it just goes to the back of the aquarium and hides and doesnt come out

My knees and my ankles hurt? =S?

it started this week, and it's really annoying. When i go down stairs my ankles will have pain in them and my kneez ( for kneez a bit) Like i use to be able to run perfectly but all of sudden i realized that my kneez and ankles hurt when i ran ?? im 16 years old, 5ft 8". I weight about 180 pounds, but this is normal i could run just fine with the same weight. Like when i ran i felt the pain a little but it's when i try to stop when it hurts. Just today i was running and after that there was alot of pain in my kneez and ankles. i just wanna know if this is something serious, like the pain is bearable, it doesn't hurt like mad or anything. It's just annoying. O and when i roller blade like even when i roller blade really fast, i dont feel that pain as often. It's only when pressure is put on it that it hurts. Going down stairs ect. pls hellppp!!! i dont wanna give up soccer, baseball, track, and ice hockey =(

What do I do if, after formatting my hard drive, my computer doesn't recognize my hard drive?

I had a similar problem. If you are trying to install XP, you need to include the SATA drivers on the installation CD for XP. You know the part where you get the blue screen, and at the bottom of it it says what it's installing, drivers, RAID, etc.? It's at that point when it installs the SATA drivers and THEN only after that you'll be able to see the hard drive to install to. You'll need to create an ISO image of XP and include the SATA drivers. PowerISO works great. That's what I had to do.
