I don't want to be alive, I don't see a point.?
There is a LOT of help and hope for you if you seek in the right direction. The direction? A psychiatrist -- not a psychologist. What you have would be called "chronic" depression. Especially depression which does not seem to have a specific cause (you know, if your life is going pretty much right, if you're not traumatized all the time) is likely to be caused by a "brain wiring" or biochemical imbalance. The medicines available to help are extremely effective, and no they don't change your personality or "who you are". In the last 20 years scientists have come to view chronic depression in new ways. Emotional therapy is NOT always effective -- especially because there may be no specific emotional "root". The medicines available (most of them called SSRIs) are very "clean" (few side effects) and very targetted. One med may not help you much at all, or may make you feel listless or apathetic, whereas another one may make you feel perfectly "normal" again and do nothing else than that. It may be necessary to try a couple before finding the right one, but DON'T GIVE UP. There IS effective help for you. Go find it!!
