What does an artist like David Cook really mean to this society?

In addition to his refreshing and rock solid musical talents, David Cook has shown what a real/genuine/decent/kind human being he is. His parents no doubt did a great job raising him. I don't want to "idolize" him since I am sure he is just like most of us mortals with all the problems and blessing but to see someone like him on stage doing what he does, brings warmth to my heart
