I am taking introductory accounting cl at occupational center.?

Then I will take Accounting 2 and learn about Quick books. I will finish in June of 2011. I want to know what type of job position should I be looking? accounting istant or book keeping? what is difference of degree for accounting at college (2 years) vs Occupational Centers for a year?
