Why is striving to perfection is a bad thing?

I'm writing an essay on perfection, how perfection is a bad thing. Huxley's Brave New World did it best to strive perfection by appeasing their people's desire, but none of individuality and pion ever came out from the story. I have no idea where to start, I just need some ideas. Can someone help me thanks? I'm trying to write a debatable argument essay.
