Does anybody know a good career choice for a 35 year old male?

Hello, I am a roofer who is out of work. I have been roofing for 15 years and for a long time have wanted to do something different with my life. The up side of roofing was that it paid very well. The downside was that most of that pay was under the table with no benefits. I always wanted to go to school and have a good career for myself. Always wanted to throw the shirt and tie on, grab the briefcase and go to work but life lead me down a path where I needed to make lots of money quickly to survive. I don't mind going back to school. I want to make sure that number one I pick a major that is going to pay well with benefits. Also seeing that Im 35 I don't see myself graduating and having to intern somewhere for 2 years. I love working with my hands don't get me wrong but I like to do it more of a hobby. If I could do it all over again I would try for engineering but I don't think my math skills are up to par for that type of career choice lol. No matter what I do I want to get the college education that I always wanted which is why trade schools and things of that caliber are out. Does anyone know some good career choices that pay well and have good benefits. Thanks for your time.
